HKPL Committee · Sandbox
Create a division, register clubs and teams through the real approval flow, then step into every role and run live matches. Exactly what a real league operator does — end to end, in the sandbox, with no email accounts needed.
Real sign-in normally emails you a link. In this sandbox, test emails aren't delivered — the link is shown to you on screen instead. So you can invent as many people as you like:
sunrise-club@test.com, alice.captain@test.com.⚠️ The email just has to look real — it must end in .com / .org / .hk etc.
alice@test.com works; alice@test is rejected as “invalid email”. Nothing is actually sent.
Use the trick above on the sign-in page with a fresh made-up email. Perfect for registering a new club or team as someone who doesn’t exist yet.
Open the Test Sign-in page. Search anyone by name / email, or browse by club and pick a manager, captain, or player — one click. A floating “Testing as… · Switch” bar rides every page so you can hop again any time.
Both put you straight into that person’s seat — no password, in the same browser. Every club, team, or player you create appears in the Test Sign-in list the moment it exists.
Each step names the seat you should be in. Switch seats using the two methods above.
Switch to League Admin, open Admin → Divisions → New division. Name it (e.g. “Committee Test Division”), pick the season, save.
You can also just build into an existing division if you prefer.
Become League Admin →Sign in as a made-up person (e.g. sunrise-club@test.com) using the trick. Open Register → Register a club, fill it in, Submit. The club is now pending.
Who becomes the manager? Whoever registered it. Remember the email you used.
Open sign-in (invent an email) → Open Register →Switch to Registrar, open the approvals queue, find your club, Approve. The person who registered it is now its Club Manager.
Become Registrar →Switch back into your new manager (Test Sign-in → search their email, or “browse by club”). Open Register → Register a team, choose your division, attach any file as the “receipt”, Submit. Do it twice so you have two teams to play each other.
The manager who registers a team becomes that team’s Captain.
As Registrar, approve each team registration. Then switch to Finance and approve the receipt/payment. Watch the team move from pending → active.
Registrar → Finance →Switch into a team’s Captain, open your team → Add player. A DUPR ID is optional — an email + name is enough. Every player email you invent becomes another switchable person.
Open captain dashboard →Set the lineups on your two teams, enter the scores (games to 21), and have both captains sign. The result flows to Standings and Results. Want to see it post to DUPR for real? Use the DUPR live test — a ready-made match wired to DUPR’s sandbox.
You can’t break anything — this sandbox is fully separate from the real HKPL site, and nothing you do sends real email, SMS, or payments.
When you want a clean slate, the platform team can reset the sandbox back to its baseline (it also refreshes overnight). Everything you created is wiped; the standing demo league returns untouched.
Ask for a reset →uat.silkvo.com) — a separate copy from the real league. Your testing never touches real standings, ratings, or people..com etc.). No message is ever delivered.Stuck or want the sandbox refreshed? Use the in-app feedback widget (bottom-right on any page) or contact the platform team. — HKPL UAT
