Pickleball is a physical sport. By registering for and participating in Hong Kong Pickleball League ("HKPL") activities, you acknowledge that participation carries inherent risks of injury, and you voluntarily accept those risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release HKPL, its organisers, officials, volunteers, sponsors, and venue operators from liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation, except where caused by their gross negligence or wilful misconduct. You agree to indemnify HKPL against claims arising from your own acts or omissions during league activities.
You confirm that you are medically fit to compete, or have obtained medical clearance. You are responsible for your own health, insurance, and any pre-existing conditions.
Players under 18 may only participate with a parent or guardian's signed consent and indemnity, in accordance with the HKPL Rulebook (§1.3–1.4). The parent/guardian accepts these terms on the minor's behalf.
You consent to HKPL arranging emergency medical treatment if you are unable to give consent at the time; associated costs remain your responsibility.
You consent to your image being captured at league events and used for league records, rankings, and promotion, subject to the Privacy Policy. You may request opt-out via account settings.
This indemnity is read together with the Terms of Service and the HKPL Rulebook. Where a signed paper indemnity is required, it prevails for that player.
